Board of Directors of the General Partner
The Board of Directors of the General Partner considers all important management and policy matters in relation to the partnership, which includes setting the partnership’s strategic aims, ensuring that the necessary financial and human resources are in place for the partnership to meet its objectives and reviewing Group management performance. The Board also sets the Group’s values and standards and ensures that its obligations to all stakeholders are understood and met.
The eight-member Board, which has overseen the successful running of the Zhaikmunai for a number of years, currently consists of two executive directors and six non-executive Directors, three of whom are considered by the Board to be independent non-executive directors. The directors consider that there is a satisfactory balance of decision making power on the Board in line with the Code and that the directors have the appropriate balance of skills, experience, independence and knowledge to enable them to discharge their respective duties and responsibilities effectively. There is a wide mix of nationalities represented on the Board comprising Belgian, English, German, Russian and Indian nationals.
